C3ing it every Sunday?

Wouldn't it be great if our group contributed in some way to Union-wide worship gatherings every time they happen? Don't get me wrong--I'm not saying that we're up for doing "worship operations" (that's setup, takedown, greeting, etc.) any more often than we already do, but perhaps we can do something smaller on the Sundays that we're not doing worship operations--things like gather to pray for a few minutes before the service starts, help with communion, or provide snacks. Each activity would need a leader--that is, a person that makes sure to show up, knows what's going on, and instigates doing it.

What do y'all think? Sound like a great way to spend time together and support Union-wide worship? Or sound like a good way to be stretched too thin and burn out faster than lightning?

  1. Cool blog, Molly. I like it. Nice info, too!!! Yeah!!! Does Jean know about it?? She should provide the info on the Union website.

  2. Seems like if every group contributed every Sunday, it'd make easier (but more frequent) for everyone. I like the idea.

  3. Hmmmm. Let's just do it as it comes up, and as there is interest. This idea doesn't replace the current "worship operations" system, just would help us find ways to be together and support Union-wide worship in small ways. See ya Sunday!
